At CortexAlpha, we understand that your trading journal is an extremely private personal asset. This Privacy Policy explains transparently how we collect, use, and protect your data.
What information do we collect?
Account info：When you sign up or purchase, we collect your email address and your subscription status.
User-generated content：All text data you enter in CortexAlpha (trading journals, action records, review notes, etc.).
Usage data：Basic server logs such as login time, device type, IP address, and page interactions — used to improve the service and troubleshoot issues.
How do we use your information?
To provide CortexAlpha's core services — storing your journal and generating personalised AI behavioural feedback.
To handle your payment status and subscription entitlements.
To send you service updates, security alerts, or technical-support emails.
AI processing & data security
Third-party models：To generate high-quality feedback, your journal text is transmitted over an encrypted API to our partner LLM provider (Google Gemini).
Never used for public training：We strictly adhere to enterprise API terms. Your private journal data is used only to generate feedback for that specific request — it is never retained by the model provider or used to train their public AI models.
Data storage：Your data is securely stored in a cloud database (Supabase) protected by industry standards with strong access isolation.
Do we share your information?
We will never sell your personal information to any data broker, advertiser, or unrelated third party. We only share data with third parties in the following necessary cases:
Infrastructure providers：Such as cloud servers, databases, and payment gateways (sharing only the minimum information necessary to process payment).
Legal compliance：In the face of a legally binding subpoena or government request, to cooperate with anti-money-laundering or anti-fraud investigations.
Your data rights
You always have full control over your data. Via in-app settings or by contacting us, you can:
Export data：Request an export of all your journal records in CortexAlpha.
Permanent deletion：Request that we permanently close your account and destroy all journal text belonging to you in our database (this is irreversible)。
